前一段时间,有一位网友在我的博客留言,建议请Fab 68人力资源经理通过博客平台与大家分享更多的招聘信息。今天,我邀请Fab 68的人力资源经理——Wallace Thompson先生作为“客座博主”发表一篇文章。

首先,谢谢大家的邀请。我非常感谢朋友们对Fab 68产生的浓厚兴趣,也很愿意在这里与大家分享与英特尔公司文化、Fab 68社区建设以及招聘相关的信息。

从我个人来说,我对移居到大连、参与到Fab 68项目和社区建设中来,感到无比兴奋。大连是一个非常美丽、充满活力的城市,拥有才华横溢的人才,也有非常优秀的城市文化。大家知道,英特尔的企业文化扎根于六个核心价值观之上:客户导向(Customer Orientation)、纪律(Discipline)、质量(Quality)、鼓励冒险(Risk Taking)、结果导向(Results Orientation)、理想的工作环境(Great Place To Work)。我们看到,大连的城市氛围和英特尔文化有着完美的契合。

Hi, Kirby and Wallace. Thanks for sharing the latest info about Intel. :) A great company culture is important for the development of the company itself and employees. And also a win-wined environment is helpful for employee and company’s development at the same time. As you mentioned above, Intel offered a lot of opportunities for employees’ development, I am interested about this topic. would you please sharing more about it? Hi,Kirby and Wallace,glad to see your new message.For the 6 core culture you mentioned,I quite agree with them,especially Discipline/Customer Orientation/Great Work Place,but I think Team Work also should be an important item. Bruce raised a good topic,we are all interested in the details about the development plan for emploee in intel,how to make emploee feel like part of a family in intel? how about the work style for eng depart?Too many questions just because this’s really a best chance for us.Expect your next blog.Thanks from Jason.

Hi Fu Jing, Thank you, nice to correspond with you as well! I agree with you, it is more interesting to hear what employees say about the culture. Most of the articles by Intel employees were written for internal Intel use. I’ll have to determine if there are any in the public domain or that if any can be released into the public domain with the authorization by the employees. Stay tuned. Wallace

成长:任何一个员工进入intel以后都要接受NEW HIRE TRAINING ,即便是辞职以后重新加入的员工也要接受这样的培训.培训的课程包含所有公司文化和纪律,福利和待遇,发展和机遇等诸多的方面 通常是三个全天的课程

新员工培训结束后,每位新员工有自己详细的工作培训。这个培训计划涵盖这个职位所需要完成的所有职责和其他相关的信息。 在一个季度和半年之后, 新员工在直接经理的安排下需要对这个培训计划进行培训 。

在这期间, 员工能参加许多跟工作相关的面对面培训和网络课程培训。课程的内容可以这么简单的形容:应有尽有!

其他的成长就看员工本人在他自己的环境里面能否熏陶的出来了吧

关于发展: 不用说太多的机制和竞争之类的话题了,用数据来说话吧。不然有人会批评说不购客观。 同样的500强企业,在英特尔里面你能发现管理团队里面超过30%的经理人 的英特尔工作年限在7年以上。而在另外的地方,超过97%的员工任职年限在2.5年以下。当然国有和民营企业不在我谈论的范围里面

我个人理解现代企业和员工的发展应该是基于双赢的基础上的,员工在企业中学习到更多的知识技能来完善个人发展,企业也能同时通过员工的不断发展获取更大的利益。其实员工的入职培训、在岗培训等是绝大数欧美企业都有的东西。我更感兴趣的是intel有哪些区别于其他企业的培训机制(譬如Motorola的MU之类的);或者有没有与当地的高等学府联合培训员工的计划等等。

Bruce 如果你想在中国找到第二个如同英特尔一样给员工的培训的话。我认为是很难的。 英特尔特别的地方在于。所有的员工已经融入到并且接受了这样一种理念,那就是分享。而且这样的分享是坦诚而全面的分享。在这样一个大环境里面。任何一个员工都可以在自己的空间里面学习到和接触到在别的公司花上10年也接触不到的东西。而这些,是英特尔积累了30年的结果。也许这就是你所寻找的答案吧。我只能说,潜移默化的影响。胜过一切。如果您需要更正式的采访或者访谈。我建议你联系英特尔的PA部门。他们会满足你的任何好奇的 祝好运 ! steven

像您所提到的,“分享”作为一个重要的关键词已深深根植于Intel日常运作中。可惜的是,我现在还不是Intel的员工,无法亲自体验到“分享”在Intel企业内部运作时起到的强大作用。但我知道,国内很少有公司会开通博客让本公司以外的员工开诚布公地交换和分享对本公司的看法,但Intel却拥有这样一个很好的平台,我们不正是通过这个平台“分享”对某些问题的看法么?:)通过这样一个平台,不同的人可以分享不同的意见,各类信息在这里可以得到交流与汇总,Intel正在潜移默化地实现他们回馈和帮助社会发展的承诺……对于您关于“分享”的说法,我十分赞同!:)我个人感觉,“分享”这个概念应该早已融入了Intel的企业文化……不分享手中的信息,一个团队怎么可能有如此强的竞争力与凝聚力!?

对于您的回复,我个人还有些疑惑。貌似您在回复中混淆了培训和企业文化的概念,我原来的问题是“intel有没有哪些特殊的培训机制”,而您回复的是有关“分享”的企业文化,不太搭诶……

我不晓得您是不是Intel的员工,但您一定对Intel做了很多的功课。很高兴能在这个博客上认识你:)如果方便的话,想结识您这个朋友,私底下可以一起聊聊关心的话题。

Hi Bruce, Thank you for your inquiry. Without getting to detailed, Intel understands the strength of company directly corresponds to the professional capability of its people. Maintaining highly trained and motivated personnel will key to Fab 68’s success as it has been for all of Intel. To achieve this capability, we emphasize and offer a variety of technical and professional development venues dependent upon the job requirements and person’s need. The training will vary in both type and geographical location ranging from internal training provided by Intel experts locally to International training for both technical and managerial/leadership requirements.

Hi Jason, Great questions. Please see my response to Bruce’s question above regarding employee development. Concerning our plan for Fab 68 culture, creating a Great Work Place is high on our priority. We’ve spent a considerable amount of time developing the plans for our culture. Interestingly enough, the phrase you use “employee feel like part of a family in Intel” is precisely the goal we are driving towards. To accomplish this, we’ve already launched a variety of initiatives from culture development to career development tailored to our Fab 68 workforce family.

Hi Jason, We look for direct related experience and education, leadership, teamwork, written and verbal communication skills. Then we look for indirect related skills. We look for people who can solve problems and work in teams and drive decisions. We discuss salary at point of offer, but know that we perform annual market analysis to make sure we stay competitive in local and industry. You can see our Total Compensation and Benefits programs on our website www.intel.com. Fab Engineers for Fab68 will work 12 hour manufacturing shifts. We will need technicians as well to support process and equipment engineers. Thanks, Wallace.

Hi Brian, generally we hire university graduates from engineering disciplines to be our engineers. For technicians we look for graduates with a 2 year post high school degree in a technology field. The best way to qualify is to pursue a technical discipline in your education. Wallace

hi william, it takes a few days to work thru all of the offers. As part of our process we extend offers and wait for a favorable response from the candidate, but we do receive some that turn down the offer. When that happens, we then go to the next person that we believe is a good fit for the job and extend an offer to them. This may take a couple of weeks. In all cases, Intel will communicate positively or negatively for everyone that has received an interview. Wallace

是啊 一个再好的的企业也会有自身的管理缺陷,就算做的再好,还是需要不断的完善和突破自己,迎合市场和这个社会的发展。中国人不需要那么殷勤的,英特尔之所以成为很多人想进去工作的地方,并不见得是因为工作本身到底有多好,主要就是薪水方面吸引人。无论在哪个行业里面,只要你够聪明,再加上认真的做工作,工作年限久了,相信你也会做出一些成绩的!相信自己!
